In the light of the current crisis we have introduced piano lessons online via Skype and FaceTime. All you need is a computer, tablet or phone but you could also enhance the audio quality of lessons by obtaining a microphone and loudspeaker which would be an advisable but not absolutely unavoidable course of action. The internet connection is an important component - if possible try to obtain a booster or opt for the fastest speed possible. The teacher is fully equipped for online tuition.

Since starting online tuition with the onset of the pandemic in 2020 it has been extremely surprising to see how well online formats work for instrumental lessons. If you have not tried it - be encouraged!

In terms of suggesting loudspeakers I would only venture as far as listing some brands for mid-range speakers which work well for classical music. High-end speakers would usually be acquired with very specific individualistic ideas in mind without a need for further advice.
